The second leak has yet to be fully disproven, though plenty of doubt has been cast on it by others in the industry. Both leaks were originally in the form of Reddit posts but have since been proven false. It should also be noted that the original Battlefront games were not developed internally by LucasArts.Īs for leaks, there have been two primary sources of supposed insider information which included release dates for the game and brief outlines of possible features. After all, the possibility does exist that Battlefront 3 may be shifted to the newly rebranded Lucasfilm Games.
There may be more news on this front in the future. As far as the general public is aware, EA still has the publishing rights to any future Battlefront games, even though new teams are entering the fray.
